Databank

21M+ legal sources and 60M+ medical records, cited.

What is the Databank?

The Databank is a tool that connects your chat to authoritative legal and medical research databases. Turn it on from the toolbar below the chat input, choose the databases you want to query, and Wysor will search them directly and cite exactly where each answer came from.

Unlike web search, the Databank queries official, vetted sources — not random web pages. This makes it the right tool for lawyers, doctors, compliance officers, researchers, and anyone who needs defensible citations.

What's in it

Legal — 21M+ sources

  • US Case Law — federal and state court opinions, with citation status
  • EU Legislation — regulations, directives, and decisions including GDPR, AI Act, DSA, DMA
  • German Court Decisions — judgments from German courts
  • More jurisdictions are being added regularly

Medical — 60M+ records

  • PubMed — medical literature search across millions of peer-reviewed articles
  • OpenFDA — US drug safety, adverse events, and labeling data
  • RxNorm — drug name normalization and lookup
  • BfArM Terminology — German medical codes (ICD-10-GM, ATC, OPS, SNOMED CT)

How to use it

  1. Click Databank in the toolbar below the chat input.
  2. Choose which databases you want active — you can select multiple at once (e.g. US Case Law + EU Legislation).
  3. Ask your question in plain language. For example: "Find EU regulations on medical device cybersecurity" or "What precedents exist for whistleblower termination in Texas?"
  4. Wysor queries the selected databanks, pulls the relevant sources, and returns a cited answer with links back to the original documents.

Combine with other tools

The Databank can be used together with Reason (for deeper analysis of findings) or alongside a Knowledge Base agent (for grounding in your own documents). All tools stack — you don't have to choose.

What it can and can't do

The Databank is for structured legal and medical research. It isn't a replacement for a lawyer or a doctor — it's a tool that lets professionals find authoritative sources quickly and cite them confidently. For general web research, use the Research tool. For conversational questions, just chat normally.
