Kansas Legislative Tracking Software for Lobbyists

Every Kansas hearing transcribed with speakers named, every new bill checked against your clients, and a Friday client report in your letterhead.

Challenges & Solutions

Your challenges, solved

01

The problem

Thirty committee meetings on a busy session day, and you can sit in one of them

The solution

Wysor transcribes every House and Senate floor session, standing committee, joint committee, interim committee and task force the Kansas Legislature records. Each transcript is searchable and linked to the official video at the exact second, so you read the ten minutes that matter instead of watching eight hours.

02

The problem

A transcript that says Speaker A and Speaker B is not much use to a client

The solution

Wysor names the speakers from the committee roster, the meeting agenda and the way the chair recognizes each conferee. Where it is not sure who is talking, it says so instead of guessing, because a wrong name in a client update is worse than no name.

Speaker identification
03

The problem

Hundreds of bills get introduced, and sorting them by client still happens by hand

The solution

Every new bill is read against a one-line description of what each of your clients cares about. You get the bills that plausibly touch a client, with a short reason for each, and status changes on those bills as they move through committee, the floor and the governor's desk.

04

The problem

Friday afternoon goes to writing the same update for every client

The solution

Every Friday during session Wysor emails you a draft newsletter on the week's bills and a Custom Bill Update for each client, as Word files in your own letterhead. You edit and send. Nothing ever goes to your clients without you.

Use Cases

How Kansas Lobbyists & Government Affairs use Wysor

Find out whether a client came up this week

When a client's name is said out loud in any hearing, it shows up under that client with the meeting, the speaker, the quote and a link to the moment in the video. No more listening to a full committee day to confirm a two-minute mention.

Legislature tracker

Catch the discussion that never names your client

Testimony about Medicaid dental rates matters to a dental insurer even if nobody says the company's name. On any meeting, ask Wysor to find where the discussion touches your clients, and it reads the whole transcript against each client's interests.

Legislature tracker

Sort the day's new bills before your morning coffee

New bills are checked overnight against your client list. You review the suggested matches, dismiss the ones that miss, and the right bills land on each client's list.

Send client reports that look like yours

Upload your letterhead and a past report once. The weekly newsletter follows your tone, the per-client bill updates carry your logo and contact line, and both arrive as editable Word files.

Weekly report

Kansas runs on hearings nobody has time to watch

During session, the Kansas Legislature meets in more committee rooms than any one lobbyist can be in. A busy February day has thirty or more meetings on the official video archive, and a single interim committee can run eight hours. What your clients need to know is in there somewhere: a rate discussion, a conferee who named them, an amendment floated at the end of the day.

Wysor is a legislative tracking workspace built around that problem. It reads every hearing and every bill for you, against your own client list, and hands you the parts that matter.

Every hearing, transcribed and searchable

Wysor collects each recorded meeting overnight: floor sessions, standing committees, joint and interim committees, task forces. Every recording is transcribed in full and you can search across all of it. Search for a bill number, a company or a phrase and you get the passage, the speaker and a link that opens the official video at that second.

Speakers are named from the committee roster, the agenda and the meeting itself ("Senator, you're recognized", "next we have a conferee from..."). Legislators, staff and conferees on official lists get their real names. When Wysor is not confident, the speaker stays marked as unidentified.

Your clients, matched against every bill

You describe each client in one line: who they are and what they care about. Wysor helps you write those lines when you set up and you can change them any time. Then every new bill is read against every client overnight. You see the bills that plausibly affect each one, with a sentence on why, and you dismiss the ones that miss.

The matching is deliberately strict. A bill only shows up when there is a real link to the client, not a "could indirectly affect" stretch. Matched bills are followed through their history, so committee action, floor votes, conference reports and the governor's signature or veto show up without you checking the bill page.

Mentions, and the discussions that matter without a mention

When a client's name is said out loud in a hearing, Wysor finds it and files it under that client. That runs automatically for every meeting.

Some of the most important testimony never names the company it affects. On any meeting you can ask Wysor to find where the discussion touches your clients. It reads the full transcript against each client's interests and returns the passages with a short explanation.

The Friday report, drafted in your letterhead

Every Friday afternoon during session, Wysor emails you:

  • a draft newsletter on the week at the Statehouse, written from the week's bill actions and in the tone of a past report you upload
  • a Custom Bill Update for each client: their bills this session, with this week's changes marked and any hearing mentions

Both are Word files in your own letterhead, with your logo and contact line, ready to edit. Quiet weeks don't produce an empty email. Nothing is ever sent to your clients by Wysor.

Ready before January 11, 2027

The 2027 session opens on Monday, January 11, 2027. Interim committees are meeting now, which is the best time to set up: add your clients, upload your letterhead, and see how the transcripts and mentions look on real hearings. Bill tracking for the 2027-2028 biennium starts on its own when the first bills are filed. No switching over in January.

Private by design

A lobbyist's client list and what each client cares about are commercially sensitive. Wysor processes your data on EU servers, never uses it to train AI models, and never sells it. Transcripts and bills are public records shared across users. Your clients, your notes and your matches stay in your account.

Wysor is also a full AI workspace. You get several leading AI models, document analysis and US case law research in the same place, under the same subscription. Lawyers and firms can see the wider picture on the AI for lawyers page.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything the Kansas Legislature records on its official video platform: House and Senate floor sessions, all standing committees, Ways and Means subcommittees, joint committees, interim committees, task forces and special committees as they are created. Coverage follows the legislature's own committee list, so new committees are picked up automatically. In 2025 that was more than 1,200 meetings and about 1,700 hours of recordings.

Meetings are collected and transcribed overnight, so a hearing held today is usually searchable by the next morning, with speakers named and every passage linked to the official video.

Wysor follows the session that is running or about to start. Once the first 2027-2028 bills are posted, every new bill is checked against your clients, and the status of every matched bill is tracked through committee, floor votes, conference and the governor. You don't need to switch anything on in January.

No. The weekly newsletter and the Custom Bill Updates are emailed to you as drafts. You decide what to edit and what to send. Your client list is visible only to your account.

Yes. Your client list and notes are processed on EU servers, are never used to train AI models, and are never sold or shared. Hearing transcripts and bills are public records and are shared across all users. Your clients and your matches are not.
