Models and usage

What 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x and 3x mean, and which model fits which task.

The multiplier next to each model

Every model in Wysor shows a multiplier. It tells you how much of your included allowance a message uses compared to a 1x model. A 1.5x model uses about one and a half times as much per message, a 0.5x model about half.

The larger models take more time to think before they answer. That is worth it for complex tasks. For everyday questions a smaller model is just as good and saves allowance.

The exact list changes as new models arrive. The current multiplier is always shown next to each model in the model picker.

Why long chats use more

Every message sends the whole chat so far to the model. In a long chat, each question therefore costs a little more than the one before. Several short chats use less than one long one, and they give better answers too. See Long chats: when to start a new one.
